You are an illegal immigrant!

Look as much as I love the Grand Old Party, the majority of our members are wrong when it comes to illegal immigration. And as much as I hate to admit it, there may be some bigoted, racist, anti-hispanic thought behind it. Our party is not as multi-cultrual as I would like, but we are certainly not racist. Every good apple patch has a few worms, such as JD Hayworth, the minute men, and Tom Tancredo.

There fixation of tearing Mexican families apart is said with such coldness that it does bring back memories of the  pre-1950s South. I sometimes laugh at how hypocrtical anti-hispanic thought is, unless you are Native American you don't belong on this land. This was their land, we came, "conquered", killed them, took everything, and ruined it enviromentally. As opposed to hispanics who do the jobs we won't do for wages we would consider laughable. I'm not an extremist but a student of history and realize that while I love this country as a citizen, illegal immigrants should be able to as well.

Rosie, You're Fired!

Now I have to admit that I never watched "The View", before Rosie came on, and that jump in the ratings can be blamed on people like me. With that said the show is much better now that Rosie is gone. It seemed that every word that came out of her mouth was pure venom, and that no one would stop her. I've been raised with class and morals but when she went after sweet Elisabeth who had only offered her love and compassion, I just started call her a... well you can fill in the blank yourself. 

She went after "Regis & Kelly's" Kelly Ripa, the asian community, the military, God himself.  While Elisabeth did her best to be the voice of reason, the only one who called Rosie out was Republican Donald Trump and boy could she not take it. When it comes to replacing Rosie it's true that Ann Coulter & Michelle Malkin are good choices but really they would need a screaming liberal "ala Rosie" to fight with and no Joy Beher doesn't count. I would think  the ideal person would be "Everybody Loves Raymonds" Patrica Heaton who doesn't hide her republican political beliefs and has the comedic chops.

Why we all should support the bill

I had a complete ideological transformation about a year ago from being a Tom Tancredo close the borders person to seeing the light and fully supporting the Immigration Bill now being considered. The differance happened when I truly met, talked, and lived among those in the hispanic culture and these are such good people. They work so hard, go to church, and only want to be an American what is more patriotic than that? 
                                                                                                                                                                    
While we have these northeastern liberals who wanted to fly to Paris or move to Canada after President Bush was re-elected, we had illegal immigrations risking everything just at the chance to have a life half as good as ours. Even living in fear and getting low wages in this country was so much better than life in Mexico. We need to let them live here without fear and make them Americans. It is not amnesty but don't get me wrong illegal immigrations will be alot better off than before. I worked with the mainstream public and in the Republican party and have seen the nasty hatred of the hispanics with whites laughing and teasing people of hispanic culture over the fact that there english is not always profecent and telling them to go back to Mexico. It's wrong and we as moderate conservatives need to stand up for those who are forced to hide in the shadows.
